Land use plan Randwijkse Floodplains confirmed

The plan preparation of the land use plan of the Randwijkse Floodplains is developing at a steady pace. Recently, on the 7th of January the city council of Overbetuwe has confirmed the revised version of the land use plan ‘Buitengebied Randwijkse Waarden’. The revised version consists of the implementation of an equestrian trail in the zoning map. Starting from the 23rd of January 2014, the land use plan and unearthing license will will be available for viewing for a period of six weeks. In December 2013, the release of the Natterjack toad was requested in the context of the Flora and Fauna Act, supported with an ecological work plan.

Randwijkse Waarden

In the spring of 2014, a more in-depth field research will be done in order to determine the exact location for the toads to stay and thrive. The Dekker Group has also requested the Environment license and this will take care of environmental issues such as noise and air quality concerning the floating processing plant. When the procedures develop according to plan the first construction phases will be executed this year.
